Put on my Ubuntu hat. I have a small laptop with an Ubuntu Eee PC 1000. I’m not actually an Ubuntu fan in the morning, obviously I use this laptop to learn all about Ubuntu. As for Ubuntu, I think sometimes the hardware needs to be designed to work with the system on the fly. This is where the problems with Ubuntu end. Why don’t some features, including hardware, work?

At Nelson37’s request, I unplugged the hard drive and checked to see if the Ubuntu disc provided by the CD/DVD drive should boot. Listen to it start spinning. Notice the blinking green lights on the CD/DVD drive. It’s not a boot. Look at the same screen simply because it is shown in the image above.

If I can’t get the BIOS password or unique unknown name, this computer is now sold in parts.

Note to Marty…… I could probably install the operating system remotely from a CD. Nothing else works. Recovery may work if Windows is installed on your hard drive and you don’t need to format it.

The Azure this approach is updated daily. Feature releases support new features and include both the Azure Sphere OS and the SDK.
